March is a happening time at the Carolina Highlands

So far March has been a beautiful month in North Carolina. Last Wednesday a group of our residents went to eat at the Belmont House and had a wonderful time. The very next morning all of the men went to our monthly men’s breakfast (courtesy of the Carolina Highlands). Friday morning Ear Masters came in to do free ear checks and talk to us about how to take care of your ears. We all learned something that day. On Saturday we had a lady come in to do a jewelry show. The entire building smelled delicious Tuesday while everyone ate their fish from the fish fry. Thursday there were a lot of changes being made inside the Carolina Highlands because an interior decorator was here moving things. I must say, she did an outstanding job! We stopped rearranging things just long enough to learn about oral hygiene and nutrition. Friday we took a small trip to Barnes & Noble. Our first Barnes & Noble trip was a suggestion of one of our residents and has turned into a monthly favorite. We are always looking for new things to do and places to go, that’s why we love getting suggestions from our residents.

Next week is our special entrée night. This month our special entrée night just happens to fall on St. Patrick’s Day. What is our theme one might wonder? You guessed it, Irish night! We can’t wait to see everyone in dressed in green! All of our events are free and open to the public. We would love to see you in your favorite green shirt at our next special entrée night. For more information call Kelly Papagikos at (910) 484-6430. We look forward to hearing from you!
